What is Summer Leadership Camp and COLT Training?

Each year, Nevada FFA students attend the Summer Leadership Camp for four days at the beautiful 4-H Camp at Lake Tahoe. The camp introduces students to the Nevada State FFA theme, develops leadership skills for the students, provides training for chapter officers (COLT) and holds the elections for each of the zone officers.

2016 Event Recap

200 agricultural education students attended Summer Leadership Camp and Chapter Officer Leadership Training. This year's theme, "Moving Mountains" was revealed and infused throughout the event. Students attended workshops pertaining to their grade level as well as others that highlighted ways that they can become more effective leaders in their chapter and community. Chapter officers learned how they can lead their chapters. The final night of the camp included a Mock Banquet. The student teams were recognized for their accomplishments and the zone officers were installed.
