Winter Leadership Training
What is Winter Leadership Training?
The Winter Leadership Training consists of two leadership conferences. One conference focuses on goal setting and opportunities in the FFA with curriculum geared towards freshmen and sophomores. The other conference addresses students' personal visions and how they can apply it to help their local chapter and others. This second training is for juniors and seniors. The State Officer Candidate Nomination Committee Pre-Training occurs every year during the Winter Leadership Training.
On odd years this event is held in Carson City in conjunction with the Nevada Agricultural Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE) with presenters from Your Next Speaker. On even years it rotates to another location in the state with National FFA 212 and 360 presenters.

State Officer Nominating Committee Pre-Training
In addition to the two conferences, we'll be holding the nominating committee pre-training. Each chapter can send one representative to serve on this committee which will begin work in February and then continue their efforts in March to select a slate of state FFA officers to represent Nevada FFA for the upcoming year. Students must attend the pre-training in order to participate in the committee at state convention.
